Firstly, Hello and thank you for visiting...

My name is Robert Garvey (but you've probably figured that out since the site is robgarvey.ie)
​Back in the 20th century (The 80s and 90s to be more precise), I used to do a lot of mobile djing in and around most of Leinster, Ireland.

I mostly 'worked' around Co.Kildare in nearly every Hotel that existed (and some still do!), although it was never really 'work'. It was more of a hobby that started to get out of control some weekends.

Anyway, at the turn of the millenium 'life' took over and I decided it was time to 'give up the hobby' to focus on family and a 'real job'.

Well, call it a midlife crisis or call it a reality check but the family is raised and times have changed so...



It's now 2014 and I've decided to have another go at 'my favourite hobby'.

• Maybe, you've just googled and found me that way. If you have, I can promise you that I'll do my best to make sure I keep all available feet on the dancefloor "All night long".

• Maybe, I played music at your 21st (Aaah those were the days) and you've now started to hit the more 'significant' numbers and you'd like to relive the 21st again!

• Maybe, I entertained your guests at your wedding and you'd now like me to try and do the same at your sons/daughters wedding!

• Maybe, you're someone I used to know back in the day and you just wondered what I was doing? - If thats the case then please contact me through the facebook page.

Btw: If I did play music for you before and you happen to have 'old photos' from these functions then I'd really appreciate it if you could send them to me - Sometimes I wish we would have had camera phones in the 80s & 90s and then I think again! :)



Anyway, thats about it....

It's 2014, I'm gonna play some songs from the old days and I'm gonna play them the old ways! and Yes, that means slow sets as well!
